The team of dedicated and professional Clevedon doctors, including Dr Teresa Kelly, alongside nurses and patient support staff, will provide quality healthcare for you and your family.
As part of our commitment to expanding services, we are welcoming new GPs to the practice. Our goal is to offer a choice of two doctors each day and to be open Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 5.00 pm, ensuring greater access and convenience for you, your family and the wider Clevedon and East Auckland Community.

Dr Teresa Kelly
Consult GP
Clevedon Doctor, Teresa Kelly, has worked in General Practice for almost 40 years, originally in New Plymouth before moving to Auckland. She has worked in Clevedon for 28 years.
Teresa loves General Practice because the experience of caring for people from our community is so diverse.
She has a special interest in cardiology and skin-related issues (Dermatology).
Teresa is available Monday to Friday (excluding Wednesday and Friday afternoons)
Dr Ahmed Kareem
Consult GP
Dr Kareem is a full-time GP. He graduated in 2007 and has a postgraduate diploma from The University of Auckland, and he is a fellow of the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners. He is an efficient, knowledgeable, tech-savvy, caring doctor and is a strong patient advocate.
Dr Kareem is an avid reader of medical and non-medical literature. He is proficient in Arabic and English and enjoys learning new languages and became a Clevedon Doctor as part of the team in 2025.
Dr Kareem is skilled in Minor Surgery.
Dr Sushruta Lakshmeesh
General Practitioner
Sushruta grew up in Mysore in India’s Southwest where he completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. After gaining experience in the UK as a senior house officer in surgery and as a clinic fellow in stroke medicine, he moved to Auckland in 2022.
Sushruta’s special interests are preventive medicine and holistic health.
He enjoys walking and hiking in nature, listening to classical Indian music and cooking vegetarian recipes. He is fluent in English, Kannada and Hindi and became a Clevedon Doctor as part of the team in 2025.
Frances Arnott
Registered Nurse
Frances has been nursing since 2019, gaining experience in a busy urgent care setting and made the shift to general practice in 2023.
Frances is passionate about working in the community and has been enjoying all aspects of her role as a practice nurse. She is currently working towards completing her postgraduate diploma, looking forward to incorporating Designated Nurse Prescribing into her role.
Frances is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Linda Lockwood
Registered Nurse
Linda is one of the two registered nurses who make up the nursing team at Clevedon Village Medical.
Linda has been a Practice Nurse in South Auckland for over 15 years and has an interest in both chronic care management and mental health.
Linda is available Monday to Friday.
Esme Higson-Walker
Clinic Manager
Esme is the newest team member to join Clevedon Village Medical.
With strong experience in clinic operations and customer service, Esme brings a caring and approachable style to supporting both staff and patients.
You’ll see Esme in the clinic across the week.
Helen Vaughan
Acting Team Lead
Helen has been a medical receptionist for over 20 years.
Before joining the Clevedon Village Medical team, Helen spent 12 years in the school environment, working with special needs children.
You’ll see Helen in the clinic on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Vivien Smith
Receptionist
Vivian has lived locally for 25 Years.
Vivian has worked as a Medical Receptionist at Clevedon Medical Centre for the past 3 years and enjoys being part of the Team.
You’ll see Vivien Smith in the clinic from Monday to Wednesday.
